Our coaching sessions helped me look at the publication I edit with a fresh perspective, and to think objectively and creatively of ways of updating the style and content. I also learnt useful tools to develop and commission/produce more attractive copy - from using mindmaps to structure a piece to creating a tight commissioning brief.

Isabelle Rameau, Editor, Be My Parent

One to one coaching

I can provide writing skills coaching for individuals at all levels of professional development, whether they need to learn to produce clearer letters, email and reports or whether they are writing for publication

This individual tuition allows for a completely flexible approach, using actual letters, reports and other documents that you have to write at work.

Unlike larger companies that offer writing courses, I can design a coaching programme that meets your individual needs.

Rather than relying on a pre-prepared training course and generic training materials, I focus on you and the specific kind of writing you need to do, concentrating on the areas which you have identified as the ones you need to improve.

The coaching programme comprises:

An initial free no-obligation meeting

At this meeting we will discuss the type of writing you do at work, what you would like to achieve and how the coaching could help you. You will also provide me with some examples of letters, reports or other documents you have written so that I can design a programme for you.

An agreed number of coaching sessions

During these sessions we will focus on improving your writing skills in a number of areas. We will look at examples from your own business documents and everyday work. These sessions will normally last two hours each (different arrangements may be possible in some cases). They will take place at your office - or elsewhere if you prefer.

Three months’ follow-up support & progress review by phone or email.
